LAUB'S LOBBY: ARNOLD LAUB |
Boalt Hall alumnus Arnold Laub is being accorded perhaps the ultimate accolade from his old school: They're naming a piece of it after him. On Thursday, the law school will christen the Arnold Laub Lobby, recognizing Laub for his 33 years of professional and community service in the field of law. |
By most any yardstick, Laub has been a presence in Bay Area law. He has been on the board of governors of the state Trial Lawyers Association, and with the state insurance commissioner's task force on consumer complaints. The list goes on -- some of it, no doubt to be read by Boalt Hall Dean Herma Hill Kay, who'll host a private luncheon in Laub's honor Thursday on the UC-Berkeley campus. |
